Il piacere di passare una giornata a scovare vecchie cose dimenticate nei mercatini dell’antiquariato me l’hanno trasferita i miei genitori già da quando ero piccolissima.
E’ una scoperta fantastica girare l’angolo ed imbattersi in pezzi pieni di storia e immaginarli inseriti in un contesto nuovo.
Since I was a baby, my parents brought me in the markets of antiques and still now I like now to spend my days in the middle of old things.
It’s an amazing discovery find items full of history and imagine them in a new context.
Sarà che di case ne ho cambiate talmente tante che ornai ho perso il conto, sarà che ad oggi ho imparato la tecnica giusta per poter reinventare mobili e complementi, ma quando sono passata per questo mercatino delle pulci su questo armadio ci ho lasciato gli occhi e il cuore.
When I was in this flea market,I have seen this old cabinet and I fell in love with it because of I changed many houses and I have learned the right technique to relook the furnitures…
Ho domandato al proprietario se avesse voglia di sperimentare un cambiamento su quel pezzo dimenticato e invenduto da ormai più di due anni…Mi ha risposto che piuttosto che buttarlo nel fuoco si poteva tentare…
I asked to the owner if he wanted to try an experiment on that cabinet, unsold more than two years… He answered that we could try before putting it in the fire…
Voleva venderlo ed ho optato per la soluzione “sicura”, sul colore che piace e che sapevo lo avrebbe fatto acquistare ancora prima di essere finito…e la trasformazione ha avuto inizio!
He wanted to sell it and I decided for the right solution, I chose the right colour and the transformation started.
Strato dopo strato di colore l’armadione ha iniziato a tirar fuori nuovi dettagli, nuove linee dimenticate.
Layer on layer of colour, the wardrobe showed forgotten details…
Le modanature sono gli elementi decorativi che più si addicono per far si che il risultato di queste trasformazioni risulti veramente speciale.
The moldings are the best decorative elements to show how this technique makes these trasformations very amazing.
Ed è così che ogni piccolo dettaglio che costituiva questo vecchio armadione ha ripreso vita divenendo da bruco, farfalla.
And in this way all little details of this wardrobe comes back to life, beocming from caterpillar to butterfly.
Quest’arte speciale è ciò che aiuta a trasferire la propria personalità sugli oggetti dimenticati. E questo credo che abbia un valore affettivo ed emozionale inquantificabile.

P.S. Naturalmente l’armadione è stato venduto in un soffio e visto lo stupore del proprietario ha iniziato a ridipingere tutti i pezzi invenduti, scopiazzando la tecnica!

P.S The wardrobe has been sold and the owner has started to repaint all pieces of furniture copying the technique!
